Uncle Troy and Memow came to visit this weekend. Memow stayed home with Makenna while the rest of us went to the Nuggets game. It was a good game and Kamrynn really enjoyed her "first real live basketball game."

Kamrynns haircut

Kamrynn, once again, got tired of me combing all of the knots out of her hair and agreed to a "big girl style" haircut. It's really cute, short in the back with some length in the front. It is really cute on her and she likes it. We'll see if it helps with our tangle problems.

Makenna is 6 months old

Makenna turned 6 months old...how time flies! She had a good doctor visit (other than 5 shots!) and is very healthy and growing like she should. She was up to 14 pounds 13 ounces. She surpassed the 'double their birthweight by 6 months', actually she met that at 5 months! She is doing lots of fun stuff. Kamrynn can make her crack up laughing better than Lanni or I can. She is sitting up better by herself every day. She still doesn't care to be on her tummy too much so I don't know if she will ever crawl. Today she did scoot around on her tummy in a circle trying to get to a favorite toy, although she hated every minute of it! She says da-da quite frequently although everything seems to qualify as da-da but it's a start. I've been working on expanding her vocabulary and she did say ma-ma once! She LOVES the dogs and finds them almost as funny as her big sister. Jasmine had better become faster in her old age because I think she will be harassed when Makenna gets mobile. She is the one Makenna really watches and giggles at. Makenna had also found it fun to click her tongue on the roof of her mouth and loves to shake her head "no." (oh, great!)
And the reason I haven't updated this lately......Makenna is in the midst of a "if I can't see mommy she has left me forever" crisis! Hopefully for the sake of cleaning the house ever again, she will get over this very soon!!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

It's Makennas first Valentines Day and she is so excited!!! She celebrated today but sitting up all by herself!! She tipped over a couple of times but the Boppy was there to cushion her. She even sat back up by herself a couple of times...ab's of steel!!
Kamrynn had her Valentine party at school today. She was very excited, she worked very hard with a little help from Lanni to construct the perfect Valentine box!! She made a shoe box into a Golden Retreiver, it turned out pretty cute. I'll take a picture when she gets home depending on what kind of shape it returns home in!

January 31, 2008...Makenna is 5 months old!

Makenna is now 5 months old. I took her to the breastfeeding clinic to get her weight and she was up to 13 pounds 13 ounces! She is so much fun and such a good baby! She rolls from front to back and back to front, is eating a few foods and can sit by herself for a few seconds before tipping over. She is really taking interest in her toys with Kamrynn being her favorite! She has also been showing interest in wanting a drink from my cup when I have one. Makenna has been laughing a lot more, but gets the hiccups just like her big sis does when she laughs hard!

Playtime January 24, 2008

Makenna is growing so fast, today I decided to clean up the exersaucer so she could have some fun. She really enjoyed the new toys but I think she was more excited about her new "view" of the world! Her favorite toy was the bear that was a mirror, she spent most of her time admiring herself!

I have been "slacking off" on posting pictures lately...sorry. I returned back to work on November 26th and have found that there are not enough hours in the day to spend time with the girls and get things done!! It was tough returning to work, I was sure getting used to spending my time being a full time mommy! Things are going well with Makenna at the babysitter, except for a week-and-a-half "hunger strike" where she wouldn't take a bottle!! She is now eating great and getting along well! Kamrynn just got signed up for volleyball today and is looking forward to that! She was really wanting to play basketball since that is her favorite sport but that didn't work out and she is looking forward to trying something new. Other than that we are looking forward to spending time with family over the holidays, hopefully the weather cooperates!! I will try to update next week, Makenna has her 4 month check up and we are anxious to see what our little "chunky monkey" weighs!!!
